my name is andy, and i’m a self-taught writer and student of many things.
i was a 2021 fellow for the GrubStreet Emerging Writer Fellowship and the UST National Writers Workshop. my work has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, Best of The Net, and published in The Best Small Fictions 2021, Longleaf Review, CHEAP POP, Underblong, and other magazines and anthologies. i’m also a volunteer flash fiction reader for Split Lip Magazine.
i started little detours to document my writing journey - my craft learnings, growing pains, fun accidents, and all the ways we can meander and take the long way home; getting lost to getting found.
